With every passing day, the talent in the Indian cricket circle grows only from strength to strength. In the modern-day scenario, India sits comfortably with a wide pool of players, waiting for that one chance that can be grabbed head-on. T20 cricket has been at the forefront of that revolution, thanks to the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy which has been the breeding ground of these incredible talents, hailing from all nooks and crannies of the nation.

Talking on the latest episode of Big Basket presents RCB Podcast, Jitesh Sharma hailed Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as the ultimate game-changer in terms of promoting talent. He was all praise about how the tournament has unmined potential and with every passing day, the sheer number of talents who are coming out of the competition is noteworthy.

Jitesh said, “You won’t believe that Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy’s players still haven’t been revealed. They haven’t been shining in the IPL leagues. There is Priyansh Arya in the Punjab Kings, when you see him, you feel that where he was all along. You won’t believe that (incredible) players like these are still in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. They are waiting for their chance and they are doing really well.

Expressing his gratitude for being a part of the higher echelons of cricket in India, Sharma added, “I feel very grateful and blessed that someone saw me and picked me before them and I have reached here. Because when I play with my teammates, I feel that ‘this man is insane. He can play every shot.’ They have become very smart. They have evolved. They have changed their game. I spoke with my juniors and they said that ‘I want to score a 200 in a Test match but in 220 balls or 180 balls.’ That mindset has changed in every format. In Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the quality is insane. The bowlers are planning extensively and are eyeing for the weak spot from the first ball itself.”
