RCB sealed a stunning win last night to complete a double for the first time over CSK, thanks to an all-round display and a vortex of windings that kept the game alive until the last ball itself. Rajat Patidar’s captaincy reign has been an incredible one so far and he made no attempt to hide his elation at the victory.

Talking at the post-match presentation, Rajat Patidar opened up on Yash Dayal’s incredible exploits while also underlining the collective brilliance of RCB last night. He also singled out Romario Shepherd to shower out those laurels while also applauding Lungi Ngidi on a humdinger RCB debut.

Raving about the thriller, Patidar said, “It was a tight game but credit goes to the batsmen the way they batted. The way the bowlers showed courage was tremendous.”

Shedding light on how important Yash Dayal and Suyash Sharma are, Patidar said, “Yash is a main bowler of the team, he is a death specialist, it was a clear-cut thought to give the last over to Yash. Last year he did well and I'm happy for him. I had confidence in Suyash also, till now he has been bowling good overs for RCB. That decision was 50-50 but I backed my bowler and he came good.”

He then shifted his focus to Romario Shepherd who went berserk at Chinnaswamy last night, stating, “Not easy to go straightaway to hit those big sixes, he has the power and the skill. I'm enjoying his long sixes.”

Patidar concluded by talking about Romario Shepherd, stating, “He is quite an experienced bowler and has played a lot of white-ball cricket and I have confidence in him. It's a positive to be on top, we are not aiming for the qualification, three matches are more crucial and we will try our best in all the three matches.”
