RCB clash against DC with one eye on WPL 2026 final berth

The Royal Challengers return to action after a brief break as they take on Delhi Capitals in the return fixture as part of the Vadodara leg of WPL 2026.

With five wins from five games, another win for RCB will confirm their qualification for the grand final. Currently in pole position with 10 points, RCB stand head and shoulders over the other teams.

The last time these two teams clashed, a Smriti Mandhana special took the game away from the Capitals. RCB got off to a rock-solid start with the ball too before Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll’s brilliance eased RCB to a comprehensive win. This time, however, with the contest shifting to Vadodara, it will be a different equation altogether.

Delhi Capitals, who are currently in the fourth position of the points table, will be eyeing further momentum. A win will keep them in the hunt for the play-offs. Two wins in the last three games has given them belief and that makes the upcoming challenge between Delhi and RCB an absolute crackerjack of a contest.

Venue watch:

The surface in Vadodara has shown traces of the ball sticking to it. Batters will have to be smart in the first half while dew might ease their problems to a certain extent in the second half. However, it exactly won’t be a free-scoring track with the spongy bounce being a decisive factor.
