RCB sign Cameron Green as a part of an all-cash trade from Mumbai Indians
In a trade deal that made all the news, the Royal Challengers Bangalore have traded in dynamic Australian all-rounder, Cameron Green, from the Mumbai Indians.
Cameron Green caught the eyes of the Indian fans when Australia toured India ahead of the 2022 T20 World Cup. Not only did Green rattle the bowlers at will but his eclipsing all-round presence left Team India looking for answers which came in bits and pieces. The all-rounder scored 118 runs in 3 matches, including two fifties at a strike rate of 214.54 to grab all the attention.
Ever since then, Green had been in terrific touch and despite copping a broken finger during international duties, he never stepped down from the showdown and kept on fighting like a true warrior.
He has been a part of 37 T20s from which he has scored 697 runs that is inclusive of a massive century which came in the final group stage fixture for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023.
He has played 16 IPL fixtures so far from which he has scored 452 runs at a strike rate of 160.28 while hammering a century and a couple of fifties. Not only has he scored at a breezy rate but his average of 50.22 with the bat alongside the six wickets he has taken add to his credentials as a top class all-rounder.
In a short video made by Green, he addressed the fans and supporters of RCB, stating, "Hey RCB fans, I just want to say that how excited I am to join Andy Flower and the team. I can't wait to see you guys soon at the Chinnaswamy Stadium."
