Royal Challengers will kick off their remainder of IPL 2021 campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on September 20th in Abu Dhabi. Last year at the same venue, RCB had beaten KKR by eight wickets in a one-sided clash.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule for the remainder of the VIVO IPL 2021 on Sunday. The tournament was suspended mid-way due to COVID-19 scare this year in May. The board had recently confirmed that the remainder of the league will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to the new schedule, a total number of 31 matches will be played in the duration of 27 days. Of these, 13 will be held in Dubai, 10 in Sharjah, and 8 in Abu Dhabi.

The 14th season of the league will now resume on 19th September in Dubai with Chennai Super Kings taking on defending Mumbai Indians.

The action will then shift to Abu Dhabi where the Kolkata Knight Riders will square off against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Sharjah will host its first game on 24th September when Royal Challengers Bangalore take on Chennai Super Kings.

Evening matches will start at 7:30 PM IST, while on doubleheader days, the afternoon games will start at 3:30 PM.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will cap off the league stage with the game against Delhi Capitals on 8th October.

Abu Dhabi will not be hosting the play-off matches as the 1st Qualifier will be played in Dubai on 10th October. The Eliminator & Qualifier 2 in Sharjah on 11th & 13th October. And on 15th October Dubai will host the final of the league.
