RCB's WPL Class of 2026: Built on big-match pedigree and bold firepower
After days of hard work put behind the scenes was poured into efforts at signing some of the best talent available at the WPL Mega Auction in New Delhi, RCB's Class of 2026 has a formidable outlook to it, with many match-winners in the mix.
RCB's first signing was Georgia Voll, who holds the record for the joint highest individual score in WPL and boasts a blistering strike rate of 165 in the tournament. This was followed by another bold bid for Nadine de Klerk, whose World Cup performances was a blazing testimony to the kind of havoc that she is capable of wreaking. Apart from her batting flair, her all-round ability make her a value addition to the team.
The focus then shifted to World Cup winner, Radha Yadav, who was roped in for INR 65 lakhs. The big names kept on rumbling in, with RCB adding Lauren Bell, Linsey Smith, Arundhati Reddy, Pooja Vastrakar and Grace Harris to the squad. Towards the end, RCB signed some exciting young prospects in Prema Rawat, Dayalan Hemalatha, Gautami Naik and Karnataka’s very own, Pratyoosha Kumar.
Add to these names the retained superstars in Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Ellyse Perry and Shreyanka Patil, and RCB’s Class of 2026 is all set to conquer come the season!
