Richa Rampage hits Navi Mumbai as youngsters registers incredible record

The Indian women’s team conjured up quite a storm in Navi Mumbai last night to blow away the West Indies bowlers in the T20I series finale.
However, there was a very special innings amidst a flurry of impressive displays which was carved by Richa Ghosh, eclipsing the others in the blink of an eye.
Arriving in the 15th over, Ghosh got off the mark of the very first ball she faced, in style as a slot ball outside off from the seasoned Deandra Dottin was clobbered over mid-off for a six. Just to assert her authority, she had no half-measures in the following deliveries either.
A slower one from Dottin was shown the fence again, this time along the carpet while getting slightly fortunate on the following delivery as Dottin and Chinelle Henry collided into each other, dropping a relatively easy chance while the ball rolled away to the fence.
A few moments later, Ghosh once again came down the track and smashed Dottin for another one behind square, adding to the woes of the Caribbeans. Aaliyah Alleyne tried to halt the Richa rampage with a handful of shorter deliveries but the excellent use of her feet allowed her to set herself for a shot that was whacked away to glory over deep square leg in incredulous fashion.
Up next in the line of carnage was Hayley Matthews and Richa had no remorse whatsoever, smashing the balls from her as well as she was clubbed for two humongous sixes, one over deep mid-wicket while the other went over deep square leg. Before Alleyne could finally see the back of Richa, she was parked out of the ground once more as the latter whacked one on the leg over deep mid-wicket, registering the joint fastest half-century in WT20Is, parallelling the feat of Sophie Devine and Phoebe Litchfield.
She was eventually removed for 54 from just 21 balls and by the time that happened, Team India had already posted a monumental number on the board, big enough to send the Windies scampering for shelter.
