Sitanshu Kotak reveals Indian think-tank’s message to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi chronicled history in Manchester when he became the youngest Indian cricketer to make an international debut at the age of 15 years and 99 days.

As India gears up for the third T20I of the series in Nottingham, India’s batting coach, Sitanshu Kotak opened up on the mindset of the hard-hitting southpaw while also revealing what the message from the dugout to the youngster was.

Talking in the pre-match press conference ahead of India’s clash with England in Nottingham, Kotak said, “The moment that he came to the team, he was ready to make his debut. It’s nothing like that he got ready only in the last match.”

Revealing what the thinktank’s message to Vaibhav has been, Sitanshu said, “Our only advice to him has been whatever his game, whatever his instinct is, the game that he has played to reach until here, that is the cricket he should play. Our message to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has always been to back his instincts.”
