The Indian women's cricket team is all set to play again in the Women’s Asia Cup as they will be squaring off against Hong Kong. This will be their second clash of the tournament after a convincing win against Thailand in their opener.

However, the win also brought concerns, as India’s middle-order collapsed after a great start. India’s bowling coach, Aavishkar Salvi, addressed the collapse, explaining that such dips are part of the game and that India managed to turn things around in the second half. He also lauded Sree Charani and Kranti Gaud for stitching together a crucial 22-run stand that capped off India’s innings, pushing them to a significant total.

Talking in a video released by BCCI, Salvi said, “That is the nature of the sport. We are playing T20s and it is not that every time we get into a good position, that we will able to execute our plans. There will be times, where we will not be able to execute our plans as great as we would have wanted to. So there will be downfall but if you see there was a comeback also.”

He concluded by talking about India’s turnaround, adding, “The way they came back was really well. They strengthened their partnership at the end. Those important runs were contributed from the middle order and the lower order batters, which created that 160-run mark and after that you saw how they bowled in the game.”
