Chinnaswamy lit up with incredible fireworks as RCB played their first warm-up game of the season. It was a cracker of a game as Team Venky and Team Krunal went head-to-head. Batting first, Team Venky posted 234/7.

Jitesh Sharma was in great nick, smashing 81 off 37. Tim David hammered 36 off 14. Captain Venkatesh Iyer was in deadly touch as well, hammering 30 off just 16 balls. Virat Kohli brought his own fire, clobbering 29 off just 12 balls.

At the other end, Team KP saw Rajat Patidar firing at will. Patidar smashed 74 off just 25 balls while Devdutt Padikkal rocked with a knock of 63 from just 33 deliveries. Krunal himself delivered a power-hitting masterclass, scoring 58 off just 33 balls.

RCB head coach, Andy Flower, was really delighted with how things went in the practice game. On RCB’s latest episode of Bold Diaries, he opened up on the positives from the warm-up clash, while underlining the key highlights of the evening.

Shedding light on the entire evening, Andy said, “So that was a really good night for the squad. And it’s always nice to get out of the nets and get into competitive situations. Really productive evening. Some of the highlights, I suppose, from the evening were watching guys like Jitesh, Rajat, hitting beautiful shots as we know that he can. Some of the youngsters performing.”

Flower further highlighted the bowling capability, adding, “Abhinandan was good with the ball. Rasikh was good with the ball. For instance, it was worth seeing Vicky Ostwal and his skill with the left arm spin. That was a great’s night work for everyone in the squad. We have rest tomorrow.”
