This year I am playing with emotions – Jitesh Sharma on what being a part of RCB means to him

Jitesh Sharma has been a massive addition to the RCB squad this season. The quality of the knocks that he has knitted under intense pressure has allowed the Royal Challengers Bengaluru to push for many wins in IPL 2025.

He has also been phenomenal behind the stumps with the gloves, and talking on the teaser of the RCB Podcast, Jitesh Sharma opened up on the very special feeling of donning the RCB threads for this year.

Jitesh said, “As a cricketer you are smart. You know that somehow you have to perform. But this year I am playing with emotions. We know that there is winning and losing but we are mentally ready. We don’t let it hurt. But this time I am taking it personally.”

He further added, “When I was playing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Alur, people were standing there and there were lots of other big players also there. They were playing the game too. When they were batting, no one did anything. They were calm. Just as I came out to bat, there were ‘Jitesh RCB’ chants for me. That moment hit me.”
