Video - Virat Kohli rolls over his arms to Phil Salt in the nets

Not always would you see Virat Kohli rolling his arms but whenever his team needs him, he is always there. That was exactly the scene in the practice nets when he decided to personally throw down some balls to his opening partner, Phil Salt.

From the fuller deliveries to the shorter ones, Virat had it all for Salty. Salt came after him with every intent of smacking the ball out of shape in the nets. Phil Salt admired Virat and appreciated the effort taken by the former RCB captain in the nets.

Oh a couple of bouncers came storming in at Salt as well, he ducked one and pulled the other. Salt said in the midst of the session, “I think it's just a few points looking ahead. I think it was the first time that we've been out here as a group, or for me anyway. So it’s just a few points about going forward what are we going to do this year, what do we plan to do.”

Add to it all a couple of glorious straight drives from Salt and it was indeed a moment to savour. Salt also added, “Just taking it to the next level, so just planning for that. Always good to chat cricket with him (Virat Kohli). That goes without saying.”

The fans will be eager to see the duo of Phil Salt and Virat Kohli back in action as RCB return to the yard with the curtain-raiser against SRH in IPL 2026.
