Virat Kohli shines again in Vijay Hazare Trophy with commanding 77 against Gujarat

Virat Kohli lit up Round 2 of the Vijay Hazare Trophy in his own sweet fashion with another commanding knock of 77 for Delhi against Gujarat in Bengaluru. After Delhi lost Priyansh Arya (1) early in the innings, Kohli took over the reins and started regulating the innings.

Despite the lack of support from the top three batters, Kohli almost single-handedly carried the Delhi charge against a formidable Gujarat bowling unit. When Kohli fell, Delhi’s score read 108/4 and 77 of those runs came from him alone.

This knock came on the back of another scintillating century which he racked up against Andhra Pradesh in the season opener of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In this innings, Kohli smashed 13 fours and a six, scoring at a breezy rate of 126.22 as he kept the early half of the Delhi innings in a piece until Rishabh Pant took centerstage to steer them to a fighting 254/9.
