Fierce, unbridled zeal and audacious – Dale Steyn's path to the summit has been gargantuan. The speedster's 15-year-old illustrious career proves to be a stimulant for any youngster coming up the ranks.

An old-school swift bowling action, the brisk run-up to the crease and shattered stumps - Dale Steyn announced his arrival to the international scene by dismissing Michael Vaughan. It provided a blueprint of the proficiencies of the speedster, which the cricketing fraternity would increasingly see more of in the next 15 years.

With 699 international wickets in just 265 matches, Dale Steyn has always had the penchant for displaying zenith bowling performances which have derailed some of the best batting line-ups.

In 2019, Dale Steyn marked his return to the familiar territory after a decade. Upon his return to the team, his ebullience resurrected the fortunes of RCB in the latter half of the tournament. In the 2020 IPL auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore acquired the services of the ace pacer for a total of 2 crores.

Dale Steyn's scintillating show in the Mzansi Super League gave a timely reminder of his prowess

Often marred by injuries, Dale Steyn was keen to return to the Proteas limited-overs setup, in which Mzansi Super League could play a significant role. Dale Steyn did the inevitable as he fetched 15 wickets in 8 games with a staggering average of 15.13. He carried the same form into Big Bash League, where he gave a timely reminder of his consummate power and white-ball prowess.

Dale Steyn with his invaluable experience and verve will look to bolster RCB's fierce bowling attack. We can't wait to witness the STEYN-GUN in action at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium.
