The tragic event of June 4th has left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone connected to Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

In response, RCB introduced a heartfelt initiative - ‘RCB Cares’- with an aim to support, empower and elevate the fan community.

RCB’s think tank - Director of Cricket Mo Bobat, head coach Andy Flower, as well as mentor and batting coach Dinesh Karthik opened up about the pain of that day and the deep emotions attached to it.

Mo Bobat said, “The loss of lives is incredibly sad. We’re gutted. Our deepest condolences go out to all of the people affected. If there’s one thing this franchise has done over the years, it’s pull together, through good times and bad. We must pull together even tighter now and show care for our fellow RCBians. The tragedy is a painful chapter carved into the walls of our story, and our identity. We will remember forever.”

Flower shared, “Sport has a way of uniting us, bringing pure, unfiltered joy into our lives. But on June 4th, that joy turned into heartbreak. What was meant to be a night of celebration became a moment of unimaginable pain. No trophy, no triumph, is worth the lives we lost. To the families grieving—we see you, we mourn with you. We carry your love, your spirit, and your memory with us.”

Dinesh Karthik added, “My heartfelt condolences go out to all of the families who lost loved ones on 4th June. I can’t begin to imagine what you must have gone through. I pray and hope that God gives you the strength to come through this and I ask all of our fans to join us in showing care and togetherness through this difficult time.”
