Bowl 12-14 good overs, win on most occasions: Suryakumar Yadav

India continued their unbeaten run in the Asia Cup 2025 as they secured a fine win against Bangladesh and also sealed a berth in the final. Despite a bit of a late slump with the bat, the Men in Blue put up a challenging target and the bowlers held their own to take India across the line, registering a 41-run win.
Talking at the post-match presentation, India captain, Suryakumar Yadav opened up on India being put to bat first. He also shed some light on Shivam Dube’s promotion while underlining the conditions that defined India’s duel with Bangladesh in Dubai.
Explaining the conditions, SKY said, “We didn't get to bat first in this tournament, I think we batted first against Oman but we wanted to bat first in the Super Fours and see how it goes.”
Citing the reason for Dube’s promotion, SKY said, “Looking at their bowling lineup, they had a left-arm spinner and a leg spinner, I think Dube was perfect for that occasion in that 7-15 overs range. But it didn't work, that's how things go.”
SKY concluded, “If the outfield would have been really fast, it would have been 180-185 but with the bowling lineup we have, if we bowl 12-14 good overs, we will win on most occasions.”
