He is a winner – Devdutt Padikkal on Mayank Agarwal’s mindset

Devdutt Padikkal enjoyed a great season for RCB, putting on a show at the No.3 position in IPL 2025. Unfortunately, a hamstring injury has ruled him out for the remainder of the season and talking on the RCB Bold Diaries, he had a quick message for the team while welcoming his replacement, a seasoned pro of Karnataka, Mayank Agarwal.

Speaking on what Agarwal brings to the table, Devdutt said, “Firstly, I want to welcome Mayank to the side. Obviously, he’s the captain of Karnataka. One thing that I know about him is that he is a winner. He’s won trophies wherever he has played. So that’s the mentality that you will get. So just enjoy having him around. He’s really going to be a great addition to the squad.”

He further added, “Obviously we have had a great season so far but this is the business end, where everything comes together and everything matters a tad bit more. So I’m sure all of you are in a great place. I’m looking forward to watching you guys and cheering you guys on. So good luck.”
