It's a unit that has gelled really well – Arundhati Reddy on RCB’s team bonding
RCB have got off to a phenomenal start in the WPL 2026 season as they have secured wins in both games played so far.
They beat Mumbai Indians in a thriller in the season opener and followed that up with an emphatic win against the UP Warriorz in the next game.
As RCB gears up for a crucial phase of the tournament where they will be playing three games in the next four days, pacer Arundhati Reddy opened up on how fielding has been a primary focus of the training regime.
She also highlighted how contagious the energy in the camp has been as all the players are pretty pumped up to deliver their peak performances.
Speaking on RCB Game Day, Reddy said, “It's been great. I mean, it's a unit that has gelled really well. Everybody is a gun fielder, to be very honest. So it's a great team to be part of on the field because we know the runs we are saving, the catches we are taking, and just the energy that kind of rubs off within each other. So it's been great as of now.”
She concluded with a remark on the Gujarat Giants and said, “Obviously, Gujarat has been doing pretty well even last season and this starting three games also they've been batting really well, so it's a good challenge for us as a bowling unit to come up against them and, you know, get our plans together and execute them tomorrow.”
