As RCB gear up for their final group stage clash of IPL 2026, against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the latter’s den, there were speculations about Rajat Patidar’s availability after the RCB captain missed the clash against Punjab Kings.

RCB’s Director of Cricket, Mo Bobat, clarified the air around Patidar’s fitness while underlining the team’s focus ahead of their last league stage clash of the tournament.

Talking in the pre-match presser, Bobat shed light on Patidar’s fitness, stating, “Rajat’s good to go. We were cautious and didn’t take any risks with him. We thought we’d give him a little bit longer to recover and rest, but he’s here, he’s practicing and he’s good to go.”

Underscoring RCB’s mantra, Bobat added, “It sounds like a bit of a cliché, but we just try and take one game at a time. Whether we’re home or away, it doesn’t really matter to us. We try and understand the conditions, respect the opposition, plan for them, and then focus on what we’re good at and try and do that as well as we can.”
