RCB Podcast: Development of Indian bowling has been amazing – Josh Hazlewood

In the last decade and a half, Indian bowlers have shown immense grit and maturity that has earned them profound respect from across the globe. The perfect blend of experience and precision spearheaded by the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami has been an element that has made the world envy the Indian team.
Talking on the latest episode of Big Basket presents RCB Podcast: Bold & Beyond, Hazlewood said, “The development of Indian bowling has been amazing. I think the depth is probably the biggest thing that stands out for me, but just the skill of how they're all so different. I think Australians might get taught in the same way. You see all the right arm quicks are very similar, but you have so much difference between, you know, Bumrah to Bhuvneshwar to any number of quicks.”
He further added, “They're just the actions that are so unique, which then the style of them is how they bowl is so unique as well. So, I know Tim, you know, lining up, he probably looks at the quicks and go, "Okay, this is how they're going to try and dice me up.’”
He concluded by saying, “But I think Bumrah’s obviously the leader in the Test attack and everyone jumps on the back of that, but each of their own skill sets are phenomenal across the board. So, they're always great to talk to about these conditions and they're not foreign to me, but still you can always learn.”
