In less than a few hours, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be locking horns with Rajasthan Royals in an important clash. Both sides have been brilliant with the bat. However, it is the difference in the bowling units that can make all the difference in the world in the first chapter of this year’s Battle Royale.

Jacob Duffy has been the bowling spearhead for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru so far with five wickets from two games. He has done an incredible job so far in the absence of Josh Hazlewood and will be a vital cog in RCB’s plans ahead of their clash against Rajasthan Royals.

Talking on RCB Game Day, Duffy opened up on the kind of cricket that RCB is playing and he had a sense of calm surrounding him for the good signs in abundance.

Duffy said, “Yeah, good to start. Two wins from two games, obviously defending our home turf at Chinnaswamy, which is awesome. I think we're playing really cool cricket, you know, obviously. And getting a big score off the bat, 250, and then also chasing down 200 in a pretty quick fashion was awesome. So, you know, the guys are on fire and I'm really enjoying it.”

Shedding light on his partnership with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and the rest of the bowling unit, Duffy added, “I think we'll just complement each other well. Obviously Bhuvi's got his skill, and obviously you don't get 200 IPL wickets without knowing what you're doing, so he's been awesome. Bhuvi looks as good as he's ever looked. Abby's been awesome, and then I think Suyash was amazing last game.”

He concluded by saying, “The way Suyash came on and I think went for 21, 22 in a 250 game, which is very impressive. And we all know what Krunal can do as well. So I think we'll compliment each other quite well, and the boys are fine.”
