RCB is all set to return to the yard with a highly-anticipated clash against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. It is going to be an important fixture in terms of the points table, considering the fact that RCB will be eyeing a top-two finish to the league stages. RCB’s mentor and batting coach, Dinesh Karthik, opened up on the prolonged hiatus for RCB and what is the exact mindset in the dressing room.

Talking on RCB Game Day, Dinesh Karthik said, “For the past week, we have tried our best to make sure that the boys get some practice. At times, it’s been hard in Bengaluru. So we had a team event as well. Once we got to the ground, we got back to what we usually do, which is usually to prepare for the game in a particular way and try and hone in on preparations and get the boys into a zone which says it’s match time. We have a job to do. Let’s get in.”

He also shed some light on the opposition, stating, “SRH are a very talented team. There is no doubt about that. We know some of their marquee players, how good they can be. On a given day, they are as good as any other player in the world. So, the challenge is there but that’s the beauty of IPL as well. You’re always going to get a talented team, no matter where in the team they are. We have a lot of respect for them but at the same time, we have to be very proud of the cricket that we have played. This is a very strong and aggressive brand of cricket. We’ll try and execute that to the best of our potential.”
