He does everything a 120% for the team – Virat Kohli's special welcome for Mayank Agarwal

With Devdutt Padikkal ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2025, RCB signed one of their former superstars, Mayank Agarwal, to replace the southpaw. Agarwal, who boasts of a tally of 2661 runs from 127 matches has a wealth of experience under his belt and will hope to slot right into RCB's batting unit.
Talking on RCB Bold Diaries, Virat Kohli welcomed Mayank back into the fold, 12 years on since he last represented the franchise. He said, “I also had the pleasure of working with another young man from Bengaluru who started at RCB all those years ago. He broke through on the scene and did some special things for us as a young guy. He took bowlers on and was fearless and I got to know him quite a bit since then.”
Virat continued, “Since then we started playing for India and sharing a lot of cricket knowledge but we were also spending a lot of time off the field together. He’s a lovely guy for those of you who haven't spent time with him, he does everything 120 percent for the team. We will have an amazing time having him with us.”
Virat further added, “I can guarantee you that this guy will do anything and everything for this team because I know this team is very close to his heart. And we always wanted to get back here, not in this way but God has plans for everyone and your hard work has really shown (towards Mayank). You’ve not stopped working hard. We are sure that you will have a great impact towards the team and welcome back home, once again, Mayank and all the best.”
