RCB Podcast: One of the most experienced attacks – Josh Hazlewood on RCB’s bowling unit

Josh Hazlewood was one of the leaders of the RCB bowling unit as they went onto clear all hurdles along the way, eventually winning IPL 2025.

Hazlewood was instrumental with the new ball while his miserly overs in the death left the oppositions stranded. In the latest episode of the Big Basket presents RCB Podcast: Bold & Beyond, the Aussie quick opened up on how RCB’s bowling attack played a crucial part in shaping up their overall campaign with the perfect mix of youth and experience.

Shedding light on RCB’s bowling unit, Hazlewood said, “I have talked about the whole group in general before but I think this is one of the most experienced attacks with Bhuvi but it’s also a highly skilled bowling attack as well that I have played with. Our spinners complement us as well. So I feel like it’s an all-round unit, where we’re starting to work each other out, so I find it exciting.”

Highlighting the spell that he enjoyed the most in the tournament, Hazlewood added, “I didn't enjoy the heat, but probably down at Chennai, I enjoyed the results. Yeah, it's great to have someone like Bhuvi around who's played so much cricket and knows Indian players so well and you know, it's just little things here and there, conditions based or player based that that can really help you out.”
