Virat Kohli is just passionate about being there and winning: Kyle Jamieson
Kyle Jamieson recently shared the dressing room with two of the modern-day game greats, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, during the first leg of IPL 2021. Royal Challengers Bangalore had signed the Kiwi all-rounder for a whopping sum of INR 15 crores, making him the club's most expensive buy in the IPL auction.
During a chat on SENZ radio’s Baz and Izzy Breakfast show, the Blackcaps star spoke about his experience playing with India captain Virat Kohli, as well as what it's like to be in his opposite colours.
“He is a lovely guy. I have played against him a couple of times and obviously, he is quite intense and quite fierce in the field. But off the park, he is so nice and welcoming. He just loves to win as well. He could be at it on the field and stuff, but he is just passionate about being there, about winning,” Jamieson said on Baz and Izzy Breakfast show on SENZ radio.
On his first-ever IPL outing
“It's good to see how different guys work. We have got some good overseas players in our group. So, yes, pretty fortunate to be involved in a tournament like that.”
Jamieson expresses a desire to visit India once again.
“India was under lockdown when I was there. So we were pretty much in bubbles. I kind of missed out on that experience which is a shame. Hopefully, once this thing gets down, I can get back there and get a taste of what it's really like,” he added.
